Placemaking as Youth Activism

PLAY/ACT

Goals

The project aims to create and test an interdisciplinary training plan in Higher Education taking the "New European Bauhaus" initiative as a reference. For this, a process of co-design, co-creation and adaptation of common urban spaces is proposed, involving young students as active participants and promoters of their community in the transformation and improvement of their environment.

One of the objectives of the project is to prototype and test an interdisciplinary framework focused on the community and promote the use of these practices in higher education. PLAY/ACT also aims to create awareness among young people that they are active agents of citizenship and urban and social transformation, and encourage them to seek solutions to community challenges through placemaking methodologies, in a logic of dialogue with the community and taking into consideration the cultural, social and environmental contexts.

The PLAY/ACT project has a budget of €275,596, from the Erasmus + program of the European Union and is scheduled to end in March 2024.

Partners:

PLAY/ACT is a European project co-financed by the Erasmus+ Program.
