János Klaniczay

Architect. Graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Started his PhD studies about relations of tourism, urbanism and identity at the Department of Urban Planning and Design in 2020. He first joined KÉK in 2014 as a volunteer, and since 2017 he is the curator of Urban Walks. He guides groups on architectural walking tours in Budapest, and he is also active in creating new thematics and projects of urban walks. Between 2018-2020 he was one of the project leaders of Budapest100 where he was also responsible for the implementation of architectural and urban aspects to the project. He has always found it important to get the attention of locals concerning the built heritage, and to facilitate the understanding of Budapest for all visitors, locals and tourists alike.
