József MÉLYI

Art historian, art critic. Since the middle of the 90?s he has been publishing in several Hungarian magazines (Élet és Irodalom, Mozgó Világ, Műértő, Artmagazin), so far more than 300 of his articles were published. He is specialized in contemporary fine arts, mainly in public art and institutional critique. He has been organizing art exhibitions since 1993. He is the founder of the internet journal Exindex, and was its editor in chief between 2000 and 2003. Since 2005 he has been teaching at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, since 2010 has been an assistant lecturer at the University of Fine Arts. He was awarded the Németh Lajos prize in 2009.
